I receive my wine only from Wine Club, which is a membership Wine Club.  Each month I look forward to receiving my new assortment of fine wines (Red and White) directly to my door.  I took shopping for a wine that I know nothing about off my list of errands.  I only needed to look through my flavor cards from Wine Club to find what I wanted to serve. The flavor cards tell me what pairs well with my meal.  I had the choice of serving both red or white with this pesto linguine and shrimp dish.  So I didn’t choose – I let my guests choose.

Pesto Linguine and Shrimp and Wine – A Great Pairing

There are so many great food and wine pairings because wine goes with so many foods – from burgers and pizza to any one of the best cuts of steaks you desire. It is more just a matter of knowing the wine before you choose the meal or knowing the wine’s flavors to choose to go with a meal. That is the great feature of being in this amazing wine club that I am in.

These notes give you the flavors and aromas of the wine as well as tell you what grapes were used and the region they grew in. Sometimes these grapes are grown over generations of family members that now create the wine you drink today. There are amazing flavors that come from a grape.  That is amazing how a grape can be transformed into a wonderful accompaniment to any meal.

Well to get back to the meal at hand!  The simple and fast recipe is below and I also served a crusty bread complete with a flavored oil for dipping!
