This page is about the thoughts behind my why. Well like all of us here on this planet and here at RRR247 there are days we feel like quitting. We are working hard on editing pages, posting out those pages, helping students on the phones and individually, attending meetings, and taking care of our families, however large or small they are.
I have found that this group of people here in RRR247 are believers and give lots of encouragement and pray for others. It is a great other family to have, especially if you do not have close family ties of your own. I am glad I found this business and I am grateful for the owners of this company who are always looking for ways to make our lives better and help us see beyond our limitations. So with that being said, I believe that I am where I am supposed to be and that this business is the way to accomplish my dreams and fulfill my why!
My journey led me to the thoughts behind my why
Initially, I guess my why stems from my childhood. I grew up in a 2 parent home with 2 brothers and 1 sister, I am the oldest! My father joined the Coast Guard at an early age 19ish and my mother met and married him when she was 19, he was 23 then. They both came from poor families, scrimping on food and essentials. We moved to California away from their families in D.C. and Virginia.
When we started to arrive, there was only 1 income, so money was tight. While growing up we did not know we were poor because you would surely not know that from the pictures of our Christmases throughout the years. They looked like a toy factory had exploded on Christmas morning. So we had everything we needed and for the most part what we wanted. My mom eventually went to work to gain some autonomy and help my father financially so we could move into our own house – no more living on the base or their housing!! My parents were married for 18 years, then divorced.
An Example to the thoughts behind my why!
I saw my mother start working and that was what you did then. I don’t remember if I told others or said to myself, what I wanted to be when I grew up, but I knew I wanted to have children and be a stay-at-home mom! Life did not work that way. I could not have children and adopted a child. So I was able to stay home with my daughter for the first 3-1/2 years of her life, then her father (my husband) passed away 1 week after my 40th birthday.
I went back to school and got my AA, then also started working part-time as a legal secretary. In high school I learned typing and loved it. I got up to 100 wpm and enjoyed shocking people with how fast I typed.
My biggest why to keep going is my daughter! I want her to see me being successful working for myself now and loving what I do. To see that there are other options than a 9 to 5 job! I want her to figure out what she loves and then do that – following her dreams and making them come true by her efforts and her faith in Jesus! By showing her that it is possible to work for yourself that puts me in the position to be able to help her financially when she needs me since she is on her own now.
I took her on trips as young as 12 months and I want to do the same with my granddaugher. Another reason for my why!
Since writing this page, I have become a grandmother and she is the light of my life. Because of this business I was able to utilize time freedom and move within months to be at the birth of my granddaughter in another state. You can be your own boss when you are working for yourself. Because I did not have to ask some one for time off or give a time to return it was freeing. I am blessed to be able to generate the income I need and want just by own efforts.
Working for another person’s dreams!
I have worked In the law field for 40 plus years and during that time I did not have a retirement plan set up either through work or personally. At that time Law firms didn’t offer that. We used our money to travel. I don’t regret that time because he passed away at a young age. (my husband and I loved to travel) and have been to many beautiful beaches.
I married again and have been married for 17 years. We (my husband and his son and my daughter) continued traveling. It takes money to do that and to have the time to be able to do that. I was trying to find time freedom to do that, but hadn’t reached it yet. We were still taking vacations on the schedule of someone else’s time.
So back to the thoughts behind my why for starting my business here with RRR247
- time freedom (making my own schedule)
- be your own boss
- time freedom to work anywhere in this world
- the choice to travel when I want without asking anyone
- ability to help others do the same and reach their goals and dreams, and most of all,
- be able to work toward my own goals and dreams
Working for myself is the way to go!
I have always thought that I wanted to work for myself. I actually have always been the one to think outside of the box and do my own thing. Here are a few examples – my marriage at 18 right in the middle of my parents’ divorce was not received well (my mother saw me repeating her life). She did not go to college but went to work right away (I did not go either right after high school, unlike my brothers and sister). I got a job, then moved to Southern California away from the Bay Area.
I was the first to move away of my siblings. I knew there was more to working than working for someone else and making them fulfill their dreams and having someone else control my time and money. I wanted that time freedom to do the things I wanted, when I wanted.
While I was looking online for opportunities to work from home I found RRR247. I have been scammed on some things I have signed up for. But I liked what I saw about PBS and decided to get started. I needed a retirement plan and I focused on that. (I was 54 at that time). What appealed to me was time freedom.
RRR247 has been my other family since September 2016. I have gone through a couple of instructors and have seen lots of changes with this business, all for the better. It is a fine-tuned system and if you follow the steps and listen to your instructor you will be successful. Students are able to start earning income faster through all the different products and services we are marketing. It is a good way to start earning income and work for yourself.
The System is not Get Rich Quick, but Get Rich Smart!
